Senior Network and Application Security Engineer

Main Role (Overall Accountability)

Responsible for performing Network & Applications security assessment of bank’s IT infrastructure using bank’s approved tools, technologies and processes.

Principal Accountabilities

• Perform the security testing for mobile applications implemented in the bank.
• Perform the security testing for web applications implemented in the bank.
• Perform the security testing for thick client applications implemented in the bank.
• Perform end-to-end security testing’s such as vulnerability assessment, application security assessments and device/systems configuration assessment for upgrades/new IT systems implemented as part of projects & changes initiated by the bank.
• Provide technical recommendation and explanations for fixing the vulnerabilities.
• Regular follow-up with internal teams on maintaining compliance level to reported issues.
• Evaluate and recommend the tools / platforms for enhancing application security of the bank.

Personnel Specifications

* Engineering or Graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent I.T disciplines preferably with Cyber security testing professional certifications like CEH, OSCP.

*  Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the information security testing process and working experience in the following areas:

·      Working knowledge of Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems, database systems & applications

·      Experience in planning and performing vulnerability assessment & penetration testing of web & mobile applications.

·      Experience in planning and performing configuration audits of IT infrastructure.

·      Experience in analyzing security vulnerabilities and provide recommendation for remediation.

·      Knowledge of VM application administration.

·      Documentation & Report/MIS Preparation

·      Good communication skills with good command of written English
